At Ahavah Wellness you will receive bodywork that is specifically created for your physical needs, in a deeply healing and safe environment.

As a Bodyworker, I can help to ease physical, emotional pain that is stored in the body. I love to educate people on how they can be in self care in their daily lives.

I am passionate about teaching people about the power of the Mind/Body connection and how to be more conscious of how we care for our bodies inside and out, in the tissues, and in our thoughts… it matters!

Therapeutic Bodywork can be a game changer, allowing you to press the reset button on your life so that you can move through your day with less physical pain and stress due to, well…life!

I have a diverse professional wellspring I draw from for my practice.

  • After college I was a special education teacher working with severely emotionally disturbed children. A few years later I earned a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and worked in the Medical profession as counselor for cancer patients, children with diabetes, in the intensive care unit, and the emergency room in a Boston area hospital. It was at this time that I first wanted to become a massage therapist, so that I could provide the healing power of massage to patients whose bodies needed therapeutic touch.

  • I worked for a year and half as a home based family therapist in many states as a leading therapist for kids and teens. Over the next 10 years I raised my two children.  During those years I fell in love with and began teaching yoga, and followed my passion for humane childbirth and became a birth doula.

  • I returned to my growing desire to work in a more healing profession and went to massage school in my mid forties.

Now, nearly 12 years later, my professional work has a flow that draws from each role of service I have provided in the past and informs my present work that I know is my calling!

Meet Naomi

Welcome to Ahavah Wellness!

I have been a massage therapist for nearly 12 years and am certified in the beautiful state of California. Being surrounded by the massive Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the crystal clear and blue waters of the lake, changed me forever! I fell in love with the clean air and water, and spent a lot of time in nature.

I began to shift my previously unhealthy lifestyle and gravitated towards being holistic and in radical self care. This personal path towards wellness  deeply affected my professional life as well. First I became a yoga instructor and have been teaching now for 15 years.

As someone who is also passionate about healthy and humane childbirth (and a mother of two), I became a birth doula and have been present for more than 25 births. Massage Therapy became the perfect compliment to a career focused on wellness, and taking charge of one’s own self care.  My winding evolution into the world of the healing arts has been a profoundly gratifying and life affirming experience!

I will create a healing bodywork treatment that is specific to your unique needs. I may use Himalayan hot stones to soften the muscles and allow your parasympathetic nervous system to soften and relax. I like to use moving and static cupping to stretch and release the fascia, as well as scraping or gua-sha techniques.

I also offer some wonderful organic CBD massage oil and balms that can extend the relaxing effects of the massage.  These are some great tools that help to prepare your body for the deeper tissue work with my most trusted and intuitive tools… My hands! In addition, I will share some great stretches and yoga poses that you can utilize to help you keep those joints and muscles looser between bodywork sessions.

I am a friendly and approachable person, and I love hearing from you!  We can chat or email about your needs and concerns before your appointment!  I quite literally like the “hands on “ approach!
